Shopping Local

I love living in Calgary.  We have great restaurants, parks and great local artists and businesses.  Today’s favourites are two of my local favourites.  The first is 27 Boutique.  This is one of my favourite 17th avenue stops.  The store owners (locals as well), bring in great brands, such as Bella Dahl, Vero Moda, Dex and Three Stones.  Their prices are affordable and they have a wide variety of sizes and stock.  They also offer free underground parking which is a perk for a boutique on 17th Avenue.  What I like best about 27? Their accessories.  They carry a great selection of scarves, handbags, shoes and jewelry,  which leads me to my next favourite.  Local jewelry company Coutu Kitsch.  Coutu Kitsch has a great selection of earrings that you can take from day to evening easily.  They have great layering necklaces and unique pieces.  Their prices are definitely affordable.  If you attended Market Collective this weekend at the Chinese Cultural Centre you would have seen them.  Coutu Kitsch isn’t just available locally, this company is branching out across Canada and can be found in various small boutiques across our great nation.  You can also purchase online.

If you have never heard of these local favourites now’s the time to familiarize yourself with some of the local businesses and artisans of this fair city.
